Friendly reminder that Jennifer is a grown ass woman and can date whoever she wants and that who she dates is none of your god damn business (◡‿◡✿).
Jennifer Lawrence is not a fictional character. She is not one of our Barbie dolls or RP characters to play with. She is a real human being. She has emotions and has the ability and right to choose her own romantic partners. She’s not there to be over-analyzed by someone and to be thought of that she can only date one singular person and any other person as her lover is a completely irrational concept. Who she chooses to be engaged with her in a romantic relationship is her own decision. Her romantic life is her business, not ours. And her choices should be respected and should not be met with disdain or hate just because it interferes with your precious otp.
By all means, have irl ships. Make AUs and manips and fanfics to your hearts content. I have irl ships, as well. That’s not what I’m against. If you have irl ships, I could really care less. But if you start acting like you can choose who she’s allowed to be in a relationship with or acting like you know what’s going on with her private life, that’s where I draw the line. How are you any better than the paparazzi or gossip bloggers? You’re doing exactly what Jennifer resents about being in the limelight. I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t appreciate being treated like a fictional character in a big TV show instead of being treated like a human being with emotions.
Imagine if you were in a position like that. Your friends began wanting you to be with some other person and began obsessing over every little detail about your being just to connect you to this one person. You wouldn’t like that very much, would you? Well, that’s exactly what you’re doing to Jennifer. I know, she’ll never read your posts on here, but what if she stumbled across them one day? It’s the internet. Things like that can happen all the time. She’d probably react to it the same way she reacts to the paparazzi. You see what I’m trying to say, here?
You can ship real people. More power to you. But when you start acting like it’s truth, you deserve every piece of shit that gets thrown at you. So please. Can you start acting like a normal shipper?
